• Valley View Landfill was originally opened in the mid to late 1950’s and accepts MSW, C&D, non-hazardous industrial wastes, non-hazardous liquid waste and asbestos. Currently the landfill that accepts approximately 600 tons per day with no regulated daily limit. Methane from the site is collected and flared on-site. Leachate is transported off site to a wastewater treatment plant and/or re-circulated. Currently the site enjoys 40-year life expectancy. Valley View Landfill is located in Macon County and pays host fees to Macon County.
• This facility is permitted to accept waste from all counties in Illinois and surrounding states and accepts waste from Advanced Disposal subsidiaries and third party companies.
